Feature: Colored linearts, Gifts and Commissions UPDATED 08/08/13

That's set. 2011 was good art-wise, but not so great on the side of life. Then 2012 was the crappiest year in my life ever. So no matter what happens, I want 2013 to be better than that. This can't be too hard to achieve, I suppose, after the 2012 shit... can it? *sigh*

First, I'm going to give the finger to my job, and look for something else to do. I don't care that it takes months or years, but if I am to end my career as a teacher, I'll probably be the next one to douse myself in gasoline and set myself on fire in the middle of the playground before I reach 40. Not going to happen. So off to sending CVs I go.

Second, it doesn't matter that I'm not done writing the whole story from A to Z: this year, I want to release the first book of "WAS". In e-book and Kindle format for sure, and potentially through Lulu or another print-on-demand service too. (Advice welcome in that regard.) I don't care that it's going to be a trilogy and/or that the first part might end up on a cliffhanger of sorts. I just don't care. I want that story out. I want to FINISH something at last, in terms of writing. Life is meaningless enough as it is, so I want to do SOMETHING GOOD. Period.

As you can see in my Gallery here, I started walking that path by actually designing a cover. It was a fun thing to do, it seems people who've seen it so far find it good enough to catch a reader's eye, and it was a drawing project. Since I'm still far from being back from the deep slump I've fallen in, this is my way of carving up steps to climb back on. I'm also half-done editing/proof-reading the first half of Book 1. This is probably as far as I can go by myself, but I'll burn the rest of that bridge once I've finished crossing it. It's not going as fast as I'd like to, however, because this story was supposed to be in 1 volume only, and now I have to rework the ending of that "first part" to make it, well, more conform to what a story's rhythm should be.

In order to push myself, and prevent myself from retreating (have some balls, girl!), I've renewed my decision from last year to offer the first chapters for free. Therefore, any of you who's interested in having a look at this story can do so:

* On Wattpad: www.wattpad.com/11151858-was (an author I'm friends with on Goodreads invited me to join, and I wanted to give it a try). If you prefer network-like places, go there rather than on my website, to be honest. It'll also offer more potential to you if you're a writer too.
* On Google Drive, by sending me your e-mail address. This is on a private basis only, and I'll always post chapters there first, and more of them. Consider it as a VIP access of sorts.

Of course, I'm not a hypocrite, and I openly admit that comments, any comments and critiques, will be much, much welcome.

Also: I suck ad advertising myself and networking. If you had any piece of advice to share about that, any writing websites where I could exchange feedback, etc... I'd be a very happy camper indeed.
