Let's be crazy, and sign up for NaNoWriMo this year again. I totally failed last year because, let's be honest, I was working on a vague idea I had no motivation about (and was busy preparing for my gazillion interviews with MI6, o wait no, that was just my current company ). But I'm really psyched to revamp all my Eienstuff, and I'm having a hard time not starting now, and offsetting all this by drawing my characters, so... I'm taking that as a sure sign that this time, I am motivated!

I've also come to realise that this is a world/project I've had in mind for a solid 20+ years, but was definitely lacking 'storytelling maturity' to work on it (too many plot holes and conflicting ideas, too many influences that collided and contributed to said plot holes, etc.).

And I'm happy that quite a few of my characters are wee shites of sorts, well technically not 'villains', but clearly 'scoundrels' (in a 7th Sea way): even the heroes aren't above making morally debatable decisions on a regular basis, and have no qualms about it because, hey, it's life / 'it's either them or me, so, sorry mate, but I chose Me'. Except Kheril, who's a saint, but that's just him. Yep. Crazy bunch, all.
